HOW TO PLACE A BID
- Before a bid can be placed online, a Gardner Galleries online bidding account must be created. If you already have a bidding account with Gardner Galleries, please login here. To request a bidding account please complete and submit this form. All account requests will be reviewed by Gardner Galleries. Please allow up to 48 hours for a representative to contact you directly with activation information.
- Once logged in, click the "PLACE A BID" button when viewing the online auction item you would like to purchase.
- Gardner Galleries online bidding system will be bidding on your behalf. All you have to do is enter the maximum bid you are willing to spend on your auction item. The maximum bid must be higher then the current highest bid to be accepted. Bidding will automatically start at the lowest acceptable bid. If anyone bids against you, the bidding system will automatically counter bid at the next bidding increment, up to your maximum bid.

- All bids are placed in real time in the order they are received (if two bids for the same amount are placed on an item, the first received will take precedence).
- If you place a bid online, you must check back to review the status. Only the winner will be notified. Items begin with a "STARTING BID", and will read "CURRENT HIGHEST BID" once a bid has been received. Automated e-mails are sent out to confirm your bid has been placed, and if outbid.
- If a bid is placed within the last 5 minutes, the end time of the auction will be increased to allow further bids to be accepted.
- A Gardner Galleries representative will contact the winning bidder by e-mail or phone to arrange payment.
- To protect your security, all payment information will be handled offline.
- Taxes and Buyer's Premium may be applicable to the highest bid.
- Shipping costs are extra. A surcharge will be added for packing materials and handling.
- The auction end time is retrieved from the website which may not be identical to the time indicated on your computer. Please do not wait until the last minute to bid.
